Wow...that's a great story! Relationships aren't easy and they come loaded with so many expectations, hopes, and projections....I think we all are in search of the Magical Other-- and that quest is really the yearning of the Soul for God, or the Psyche/Self. Elizabeth, this post is simply beautiful! We have this in common: I'm a former astrological counselor and writer (specialty Chiron),and I married my first husband twice. Even though it did not last either the first or second time around, the second marriage was crucial toward completing our relationship. I have no regrets. Ultimately, at 50 and my Chiron Return, I reconnected with and married my childhood sweetheart. I let my GPS--God Positioning System, as I call it--lead me to this and other lost and found loves. Tim and I celebrate our 10th anniversary in a few days. And BTW? I have "married" him 3 times--the original civil marriage in Reno in '98, renewed vows/family celebration with minister in '99; then in '07, I returned to my childhood faith and we did the bona fide Sacrament of Matrimony. Guess I'm just the marrying--and remarrying--kind!

I must say that I posted that piece for various reasons, but since I originally wrote it, my ex and I have re-married. Some, if not all, of the original problems are still there but the context of seeing it all in the scope of our lives, and our ability to communicate, to accept and forgive is better. I found your blog and read the post on Chiron and Sacred Contracts from last August (07) and was really touched by your honesty, your journey, and your quest for wisdom....wow, impressive. Thank you so much for this article. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one going through this 'Rekindling a Lost Love.' I divorced my 2nd husband nearly 30 years ago due to severe childhood trauma. I've never been able to forget him and found myself comparing anyone else I might have been with, with him. I finally had to stop dating others, because I just couldn't stop loving him.

We reconnected about 2 years ago by phone and email, and finally saw each other this past April -- on a full Scorpio moon. :-) It was a wonderful reunion.

What the future holds for us is hard to say. Ironically, I am also an astrologer and studying to be a therapist, and I'm having a difficult time 'seeing' our future together, since (although we had a wonderful time) he's still so closed. But that's his Gemini Sun in the 8th House. And all my Leo-ness is having a difficult time with all this silence.
