South Node Fourth House (Cancer) North Node Tenth House (Capricorn)

South Node Fourth House (Cancer)
North Node Tenth House (Capricorn)
In this placement the Soul is moving from
a process-oriented emotional enmeshment in the family and group to a goal-oriented position of
being out in the world. The South Node here
can succumb to moodiness and a dependence on
on others when in its default pattern. Because
the South Node represents where we've come from earlier in this life and perhaps in our former life
it hints at the unfinished business left over and
the qualities and habits we should leave behind.
Moving towards our North Node in the Tenth House, and/or Capricorn, means we are called to follow a grounded plan of conscious action and discipline to achieve our goals. No longer will we be bound by our emotions or co-dependent relationships, but rather we are headed out of the deep Cancerian waters of our family of origin and into creating a place and name for ourself in the world.
People with this placement are often more loved than they realize. It's important for them to make it a point to find ways to to lightly and creatively express themselves, as well as making time to keep company with good friends. They may find themselves given the opportunity to succeed in the world in surprising ways. ~elizabeth For more information on the Nodes : www.elizabethspring.com

  1. Thank you for this information. This is the house placement of my north node in Scorio. My moon and ascendant are Capricorn as well.

I have struggled with feelings of failure and worthlessness for so long that it is hard to know of any other way to exist. My longings for spirituality, the artistic expression, even financial independence seem constantly thwarted. I have people giving up on me because of my own inability to imagine success. The Scorpio pull to research and to healing are wlcome distractions from the darkness. I sometimes think I have been tricked into living, and even dying I fail to achieve.

Scorpio North Node got many more comments than tenth house north node, and perhaps it is because of the gloomy Eeyores who can have this placement. They think it's not worth it to reply. But I am grateful you posted it. It seems apt.

  2. Dear Gloomy Eeyore~
Yes, Saturn and Pluto can teem up to make the world seem like a very serious sad situation. However, your Plutonian Scorpio has an amazing ability to die and be reborn, like the phoenix, out of its ashes....or to put it another way, to close one chapter and to open a new chapter of one's life. Keep following the threads of healing and depth you mentioned, and I think they'll lead you, like Ariadne's thread, to where you need to go. The 4/10 axis also has a lot to do with grounding in both the inner and outer self/Self in this world. If you think of your life as a heroine on a quest, like in a movie, then you could consider this the hard part---wonder what will happen next? ~elizabeth

  3. Thanks for responding. Oddly, I am now doing the Novemeber Novel Writing month challenge--http://nanowrimo.org for the very first time, and the heroine of that book is based on some of the extremely strange experiences in my own life. Only some of them, though. It did feel important to live long enough to finish the book and get it published. A friend pointed out-- what you have made cannot be taken from you. Even though he's quite a one for destroying his own artworks. Still trying to unravel that one.

  5. Elizabeth, I greatly appreciate your post on the 10th house NN & 4th house SN. Very inspiring and feels very true to me. In an instant, I have been able to let go in the way that I need... It made so much sense and very freeing... It's like "oh" of course!

BTW: I have Aquarius NN & Leo SN in these house placements, if you're are curious. I am now out to discover for humanity, setting some goals and making a plan. : )
